Origin & Characters: The Delta Valencia orange tree originated in South Africa in 1952, when A. Smith, a government entomologist, found it in Rustenburg, western Transvaal. It is thought to be of Valencia parentage. The Delta Valencia orange is a seedless, high-quality fruit with a smooth rind. It is similar in vigor to other Valencias but is slightly more erect in shape. The fruit can be slightly elongated with a slight shoulder if growth is excessively vigorous.

Harvest: Mid-July to end August in hot areas and end July to early September in colder areas.
